See Litter in a whole new light

Art in the Dark loves the environment so we try to be as kind to it as possible. We use biodiesel and solar energy to power all our lights. And our artists do amazing things with recycled and renewable materials.

We also run an environmental education programme with local schools that results in some pretty awesome artwork from the students involved.

This year, we are very excited to announce that we will be collaborating with the awesome team from the Sustainable Coastlines Charitable trust, artist Alex Bartleet, and a bunch of kids from local schools, in a unique and exciting project that will not only help the environment, but also create an epic installation that will be displayed in Western Park at Art in the Dark this year!

This project New Light will raise awareness of the very serious problem of litter in our oceans, help the environment, create amazing artworks, and it even involves a boat trip!

We will be posting progress updates about New Light over the coming weeks, so you can get just as excited as we are about this awesome project!
